Meet Ender, Age 16

New Family Home Donated by Drexel’s Campbellsport Team

Ender, age 16, lived in an orphanage for 12 years. Ender’s mother and father live together in Camp Perrin and have two sons.

Ender’s father is a farmer, and his income depends on his ability to pay rent for farm land. The farming activities are not always profitable. He made a profit of only 2,500 gourdes ($38 USD) for a period of 3 months. Ender’s mother is a merchant at the local street market and her income is equivalent to 1,000 gourdes ($15 USD) per week.

The house where the family lives is in poor condition. It is covered with sheet metal on the ground floor. It has two bedrooms for four people and a kitchen outside.
