New Family Home Donated by Drexel’s Kiel Team
Jodlovenson, age 9, lived in an orphanage for four years. His father and mother have a total of eight children (five boys and three girls) including Jodlovenson, who has been placed in the Pwojè Espwa Sud orphanage since September 1, 2016.
Unfortunately, his mother can neither read nor write, and his father has only reached primary school level. The father is the only one in the household providing an income, as a farmer. His profits total 2,000 gourdes ($30 USD) per month. Sometimes, to earn additional income, he breeds livestock for other families.
The condition of the family’s house is critical. It was destroyed by Hurricane Matthew. With the father’s low income, it is difficult to rebuild the house without aid.
